Introducing New Dashboard Navigation Pane

We have launched a new Dashboard UI with the following changes to your navigation pane:

You can browse and enter any of your accounts. If you have a single account, you will be at the Account Summary page by default.
Under the account dropdown menu, you can enter Application List to view your existing applications. You can visit Team Members page to manage the user permission under your account. And you can view the Billing information of your account.
Under user account dropdown menu, you can edit your Settings by editting profile information, language preference and password.

Grouping and Sorting Your Search Results

Now you can group and sort your search results in your own way! It makes sense that sometimes the search results should be presented in groups. For example, if the product base contains same images for different product variants, you can group them by specifying the product id. Moreover, you can sort your search results in ascending or descending order based on a specified field, such as price. Note it is highly possible that results with lower confidence scores will be ranked in front, therefore it is sugguested to use min_score as a threshold to filter unwanted results.

Dashboard Reports Analytics

Since our solution widgets have been upgraded to include tracking of user actions, our dashboard now offers click event analytics to provide insights on your user actions. With the analytics dashboard page, you can visualize and download the click-through rates, click rank, add-to-wishlist rate, and add-to-cart rates by solution. You can also analyze the metrics over time. The dashboard also has a page for viewing the usage of each of the solutions through API calls and bandwidth used. Download any of this data to perform your own detailed analysis or comparisons.

Solution SDK Widgets for Javascript

We’ve launched a beta release of desktop and mobile web widgets for four of our solutions: Search by Image, Find Similar, You May Also Like, and Search by Color. These widgets are in the form of Javascript SDKs that provide customizable UI components as well as analysis of user actions. This will provide a smoother integration experience and provide you with more insight into the click events taking place through our solutions. Our developer site has also been revamped to guide developers in implementing these solution-based widgets.

Image Indexing through FTP Upload

Now a new data sync method, FTP upload, is available for you to index images to the ViSenze server. If you have a large database and need to keep your data synced with ViSenze regularly but not real-time, just upload your data file regularly to ViSenze's FTP server, and we will process your data automatically. Now we are glad to announce the opening of our new datacenter in California. The end-to-end search latency from North America is now dramatically reduced.

New API Playground UX for a seamless search experience

We have launched a new API Playground UX with the following changes to your dashboard:

All the objects recognized in a query image will be displayed when searching with the Automatic Object Recognition feature, as opposed to previously, where only the object with the highest confidence score would be shown.
An empty "product_types" API response will be returned when a stated object is not detected in your query image.
The Advanced Search Parameters bar has been made collapsable by default, so that you can focus on the search process itself.

It does not have any standalone files that need to be downloaded or installed, you simply need to include a short piece of regular JavaScript in your HTML that will asynchronously load the SDK onto your pages.
